Yesterday I worte about Arashiyama-Station by Arashiyama Line and so will write information of the same area, Arashiyama today as well.
One of the most famous spots in Arashiyama is Togetu-kyo Bridge over the Katura-gawa River in Kyoto City and it’s a great location for Sumi-e.
But at this time, I would like to write not about Togetu-kyo Bridge but about a tasty cafe where the world latte art champion is working. The name of this cafe is ‘%Arabica Kyoto Arashiyama’. The owner bought a coffee farm in Hawaii. He started his company after opening %Arabica in Hong Kong in 2012, and opened three cafe shops of %Arabica in Kyoto in Japan.
You can see this cafe shop after walking along the Katura-gawa River from foot of Togetu-kyo Bridge for a couple of minutes. The design of interior and architecture of this cafe shop is so cool. And a cafe is sooo yammy! I am cafe-lover and used to go to Star Backs every morning weekdays. I think %Arabica is the most delicious cafe among all cafes where I have been. It’s a well-balanced and rich taste with body that spreads in the mouth.
By the way, there are two other shops of %Arabica in Kyoto City. One is located in Higashiyaka-ku, near Goju-no-to (five Story Pagota) and another one is on the ground floor in Fujii Daimaru Department at Shijo. Almost staff can speak English:)
